The use of dual-cure composite for pin fixation and tooth core rebuilding in pediatric dentistry practice

Abstract

The considerable defects of teeth hard tissues need to be repaired and it is recommended to restore them with the use of cast and metal-ceramic crowns which is unacceptable in pediatric dentistry. At present pin installation is considered the optimal variant of such restoration in pediatric dentistry practice. The fixation of pins with the use of dual-cure composite material “FlowCor Duo” (StomaDent, Russia) allows to receive a durable structure with similar composition and bio-mechanical characteristics.
